Dear All,
Hello again from Mrs. R. It's certainly been an extremely long time since my last post. With all that's been going on, it's about time that I finally filled you in on the previous academic year's adventures.....

Such a lot has happened since my previous post. Let me start off by saying that being in the Ahmadi Music Group was amazing. The choir director/conductor really had us enthused in the Music. Even though I had a bad sore throat, I really enjoyed playing a small part in the wonderful performance of Giseppe Verdi's Requiem which we performed in November 2014.

We then went on to perform three Seasonal/Festive concerts in December 2014, with a lovely buffet served at the end of each concert, followed by singing carols on stage in the British Embassy's garden, where I was fortunate enough to be introduced to the British Ambassador who is a very nice gentleman.

I will add here that we also had a lovely trip to the beach that we had in October 2014 with Mr R's brother and sis-in-law. We decided to go and have a barbeque and swim in a private beach very close to our flat and it was a lovely day. Mr R and our sis-in-law enjoyed studying whilst Mr R's brother grilled some burgers on a barbeque and except for Mr R, the rest of us had a swim in the beautiful, warm, clear sea....

In the middle of December 2014, we finished school and travelled back to England for a lovely two week break with our families.

We stayed in a lovely cottage in the Cotswolds and celebrated the festive season with mine and Mr R's family.

We didn't get to see any snow in England, only a little frost and the temperature wasn't as cold as we thought it would be.

My family and I travelled back to my home-town, where I spent the remainder of the holiday until we had to fly back in January 2015.

For our February break, Mr. R and I spent a few days in Bahrain, where we enjoyed dusty weather (due to a dust-storm before flying to Bahrain), a lovely marina, and had the priviledge of being able to swim in the hotel's indoor swimming pool in private (no-one wanted to use the pool, so we had it all to ourselves).

In March, we celebrated the welcome of Spring in other countries (Naw Ruz: Persian New Year) and in April, we spent about 5 days in Doha, Qatar and that was a really lovely experience for us.

 |
| Lucky us, being able to see this amazing view of Doha's corniche and life from our hotel room (Doha, Qatar, April 2015) |
In Doha, we were really lucky to have a hotel room with a beautiful view of the bay and corniche and we were able to walk everywhere and we really felt like we were in the heart of the middle east. It was beautiful there...

We visited a shopping mall in Doha called the Villagio for my birthday. This particular shopping mall was created in the image of Venice (Italy) and there were gondola rides, a river, an ice-rink and fun-fair in this mall.

In May and June 2015, Mr. R finally completed his University degree and what a relief it was for the two of us. I was and still am so proud of what he has accomplished. He finally received the good news and pass mark in June/ July of this year and really felt that all of his hard-work had paid off when he held the certificate in his hands...

May 2015 was the start of my academic era. After watching Mr. R go through his studies, it was decided that I should get on with mine. So, since May 2015, I have successfully completed (and passed) 3 CPD courses (CPD= Continued Professional Development). The first course was called "Exploring Education in Kindergarten and Reception", the second was a "Pediatric First Aid" course and the third was a "Jolly Music " CPD course. What a wonderful and busy Summer I had trying to complete all of those courses. It's definitely been worth it and now I am currently enrolled at another College and on another course (this time more serious: not a CPD course), studying and completing an "Early Year's Educator CACHE Course" http://www.nec.ac.uk/courses/level-3-diploma-early-years-workforce-early-years-educator
Of course, I'm a little apprehensive about it as most students usually are, but I'm confident that this course will be right for me and since completing the CPD courses, I am much more committed to studying again and fulfilling my potential as a Nursery/Kindergarten Teacher.

My children finished the first week of June 2015 and after that we had ten days in which to clean up and get ready for the next academic year.
I was and still am very excited because I am working with a teacher and another teaching assistant (and me as a teaching assistant still) in a classroom with 25 children, aged 2-3 years old. So far, I am learning so much from my colleagues and we seem to agree on everything and it has been a wonderful opportunity for me to be able to input my knowledge, experience and teaching method into our activities and routine so far...

I will end this update here and will continue in the next post about my Summer adventures for June, July and August of 2015.... I really had a lovely Summer with family and friends and cannot wait to share all of our adventures with you.... :-)
Until the next time,
Mrs. R :-)
